Learning and HR

Everyone passed the course. Then came Monday.

Staff click Next until it says complete, and the job looks the same on Monday. A short story shows someone like them at the moment the rules matter, then it’s their turn. It drops into Rise 360, Storyline or your LMS.

The moment the rules matter

For learning and HR teams

Your team builds the course.I make the story that goes in it.

Most corporate e-learning tells, then tests: the steps, a quiz, 100%. Staff click Next until it says complete, and the job looks the same on Monday.

A story shows someone like them on a real day: the wrong way, then the right way. Then it’s their turn, in a situation they haven’t seen.

In film-style, the wrong way can be the moment you could never stage with real staff: the fire drill gone wrong, the wrong dose, the near miss.

Fits what you already use. Each story comes as a captioned video, ready to drop into an Articulate Rise 360 lesson, Storyline or your LMS.

  1. 01A single story

One moment that matters, for one course.

  2. 02A story series

The same characters through a whole course or induction.

  3. 03Alongside your team, by the day

While your designers rebuild a course library around story.

Across 37 studies, stories were understood and remembered better than explanations. Mar, Li, Nguyen & Ta, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review, 2021

Residents’ rights · Lesson 3 of 6Story, then your turn

Joan is slow to choose this morning, and you’re behind. What do you do?

The moment the rules matter

Staff passed the compliance quiz. Then a busy morning, and the moment the slides never showed them.

Privacy

Sixty pages

Everyone passed the privacy course, and a colleague’s pay details still went to the wrong Michael. Then the same Rise lesson, opened with his story.

Customer serviceBanking

The declined card

A fraud hold declines a 72-year-old’s card at the checkout. The same procedure, with a different first sentence.

Workplace safetyWarehousing

Half a metre

A forklift misses a picker by half a metre and nobody writes it down. Then the safety course opens on that moment, from her side.

Cyber securityEnergy

Friday, 4.52

A fake payroll email lands at 4.52 on a Friday, and he types his password. The cyber module, told from inside his inbox.

InductionRetail

The first Saturday

A new starter sat through a morning of induction slides. On his first Saturday, a mother asks if a loaf has nuts, and he guesses.

Onboarding

Teams working together

HR, IT and Facilities each did their part. On Monday, the new starter had no laptop and no pass.

Corporate work

Every corporate job is different. So I quote each one.

Tell me about the courses you’re working on, including your Rise 360 courses. I’ll come back with a fixed quote, so the price doesn’t move. One story for one course, or a series through a whole induction.

How a video gets made

We talk. I write it.You see every scene before it moves.

Shown with a real one: SAP go-live Monday, made for programmes facing the 2027 deadline.

01

We talk

An hour on a call. I read your documents and website first, so we start on what matters.

The brief: thousands of people at a mine site move to new SAP screens on one Monday. Show them that Monday before it happens.

02

I write the story

One person, one day, the old way and the new. You sign off the script.

Meet Sam. He plans maintenance at a mine site. Twelve years in the old screens. He can raise a work order with his eyes shut. On go-live Monday, he can’t find it. The crew is waiting.

03

You see every scene

Every scene as a still frame. You sign them off before anything is animated.

Scene 3: Sam at his old screen
Scene 4: Sam lost on go-live Monday
Scene 5: the crew waiting by the truck

Scenes 3, 4 and 5, signed off as stills

Then it moves

Animation, a professional voice, music and captions. Versions for your website and LinkedIn.

Usually about three weeks from our first conversation.

Questions

The short answers.Ask me anything else.

What does corporate work cost?

Every corporate job is different, so I quote each one after a conversation. The quote is fixed, so the price doesn’t move.

Will it work in our LMS or Rise 360?

Yes. Each story comes as a captioned video, ready for a Rise 360 lesson, Storyline or any LMS.

Can you help with our Rise 360 courses?

Yes. Tell me about the courses you’re working on, and I’ll quote for the stories they need. I’ve built e-learning since 2005, and I build in Articulate Rise 360.

Can the same characters run through a whole course?

Yes. That’s a story series: the same people through a course or an induction, planned together.

Will you sign our NDA?

Yes, before we start. The story needs your situation, not your secrets, so you never have to send anything confidential.

How long does it take?

About three weeks from our first conversation, depending on how quickly the script and the scenes are signed off.

Will it look like AI?

Watch The moment the rules matter and judge for yourself. You see every scene as a still first, and anything that looks wrong is redrawn before it moves.

What if a scene isn’t right?

Your rounds of changes are for the script and the storyboard. Once you’ve signed those off, any scene that doesn’t look right is regenerated until you’re happy with it, at no extra cost, in cartoon or film-style.

Who owns the finished video?

You do. Use it on your website, LinkedIn, intranet, LMS and in presentations.
