What the film says

Saturday, seven in the morning. Jordan's first real shift at the bakery. On Thursday, he did the induction: a morning of slides in the back room.

The brand's history. The values. The fire exits.

Where the till is. Now the queue is out the door. A woman holds up a loaf and asks, does this have nuts in it?

Her son is allergic. Jordan doesn't know. The manager is at the oven.

He guesses. The slides covered the fire exits. They never covered this.

Now picture his induction as a short story. A new starter like Jordan, on a Saturday like his. The wrong way: he guesses.

The right way: he says, let me check that for you, and finds the allergen folder under the counter. It takes twenty seconds. Then it's Jordan's turn, with a new customer and a new question.

He watches it on his phone before his first shift, and so does every new starter, in every store. That's story-based training. At Explainer Makers, we've made hours of animated training, including a sixteen-part course that runs to three hours.

If your new starters learn the slides but not the job, we're happy to talk. Just visit explainermakers.com or send a message on LinkedIn.

Want one like this for your training? I quote each job, and the film drops into Rise 360 or your LMS.
